This report provides a structured and organised approach to managing assessments effectively by outlining key information such as: focusing on assessments, time management and planning strategies for first year undergraduate computer science students. It includes Information Systems and Organisations (CS1601), Logic and Computation (CS1602), Introductory Programming (CS1603), Programming Applications (CS1604), Data and Information (CS1605) and Group Project (CS1704) modules.
Year 1 plan covers a broad overview of all year 1 assessments, types of assessments, submission deadlines and their significance to the curriculum. It also offers weekly plan for managing those deadlines, ensuring that everyone can maintain a healthy balance between their academic responsibilities and their personal obligations.
The rationale for this report is to guarantee that we are all well equipped to fulfil our academic obligations and avoid any last minute anxiety and miss deadlines. By identifying all those assessments criteria and using efficient time management strategies, we will continuously excel throughout the year and acquire crucial skills for academic achievements.
